What is Zika?

Zika is a virus that’s most commonly transmitted by mosquitos. It can also be sexually transmitted, through vaginal, anal, or oral sex. The symptoms of Zika infection are usually mild, but it can cause severe birth defects in babies whose parents have the virus.
