What should I do if I have a pregnancy loss?

First of all, pregnancy loss, sometimes called a miscarriage, is very common and it’s important not to blame yourself if it happens to you. If you haven’t passed the pregnancy yet, there are three ways to deal with a pregnancy loss: you can “watch and wait,” giving your body time to pass the pregnancy on its own; you can take pills to help pass the pregnancy; or your provider can do a procedure to remove the pregnancy tissue from your uterus.

Still not working?

Once you have had a miscarriage, it’s possible to get pregnant again right away. If you aren’t interested in getting pregnant, it’s okay to start a birth control method right away.
