Is there any way to get rid of herpes?

I have herpes, will it go away?

No. The herpes virus doesn’t leave your system after you get it, but you can use medications to help make outbreaks of the virus less frequent and less painful, but there’s nothing, as of now, that cures it. Using condoms and internal condoms can help prevent passing herpes to a partner, but it passes from skin to skin on areas that aren’t always covered by condoms.
