Why are rates of unplanned pregnancy so high among young women?

Most young women are super fertile—for couples under age 30 who have sex once a week and don’t use birth control, over 95% of them will be pregnant within a year. Yet lots of folks don’t think they’re at risk for pregnancy, which may mean they don’t use birth control, or don’t use it as carefully as they could.
