Nasty aspirin
Lawyers make everything sound scary.
Are you freaked out about the idea of birth control side effects? Join the club. When you read the warnings, it’s easy to get scared.
But check this out—these are the potential side effects of plain old aspirin. (You know, the stuff everyone has in their medicine cabinet?) Everything you put in your body has potential side effects. And the law says you have to list every single one!
Potential Side Effects of Aspirin
- Upset stomach and heartburn may occur. If either of these effects persist or worsen, notify your doctor or pharmacist promptly.
- If your doctor has directed you to use this medication, remember that he or she has judged that the benefit to you is greater than the risk of side effects. Many people using this medication do not have serious side effects.
- Tell your doctor immediately if any of these unlikely but serious side effects occur: easy bruising/bleeding, difficulty hearing, ringing in the ears, change in the amount of urine, persistent or severe nausea/vomiting, unexplained tiredness.
- A very serious allergic reaction to this drug is unlikely, but seek immediate medical attention if it occurs. Symptoms of a serious allergic reaction may include: rash, itching, swelling, severe dizziness, trouble breathing.
It’s smart to weigh the advantages and disadvantages of any medical decision. It’s also smart to know the real deal and think about the big picture.
