Sex on the beach: Hot summer novels

One of our favorite combinations is summer vacation and a good book. Lounging by a pool with a paperback is pretty close to paradise with the right material, so here’s our roundup of this summer’s best book lists in case you need something to read.

• Books for basking. See which books The New York Times suggests you take to the beach.
  
• Not that kind of O. Oprah has started up her book club again. Check out her picks. She also lists the best books of June.
  
• Books are always in fashion. Vogue’s hit list includes six novels they’re into this summer.
  
• Mysteries. Cook books. Travel. Here are NPR’s fascinating book lists.
  
• Go beyond 50 Shades of Grey. Sure it’s at the top of Amazon’s beach books list, but they’ve got 60+ other titles to suggest.
• Ask someone who knows. Over at Confessions of a Book Addict, you’ll find a short, swoon-worthy list of fantasy and romance novels to keep you busy. Same goes for the reading list at Smart Bitches Trashy Books.
  
• Thank you, Pinterest. We found Grove Person’s board dedicated to many 2012 summer reading lists and couldn’t stop clicking.
  
• A cultured collection. You can count on an eclectic mix of biographies, graphic novels, and more on Flavorpill’s 10 June must-reads.
  
• Random good stuff. Creative Loafing Atlanta also has a hot little list that includes Let’s Pretend This Never Happened by Jenny Lawson and Hot Pink by Adam Levin.
