LGBTQ health research? There's an app for that

If you're LGBTQ, the PRIDE Study research app wants you to make your voice heard and contribute to LGBTQ community health.

A team of researchers at the University of California, San Francisco, is conducting the first large, multi-year study of people who consider themselves LGBTQ. They’re calling it The PRIDE Study. It’s a 21st century version of the Framingham Heart Study all about the health of the LGBTQ community.

Where do I sign up?

Anyone over age 18 can be a part of the study. All you have to do to participate is take a 30-minute survey once a year. You may also be invited to take part in additional online surveys, but those will be optional.

It takes about 10 minutes to tell the researchers you’re interested in participating. Once you sign up, you can help shape what kinds of questions will be included in the surveys. The PRIDE team is asking every participant: “What research questions do you hope The PRIDE Study will address?” So if you have questions about sexual health or birth control, sign up and make your voice heard!
